Should I bring my old RV back to the dealership?

Your coach may well have been in good shape when you bought it, so bringing a case after 60 days would likely be a waste of time, especially if you purchased from an individual. Few states have good lemon laws for RVs, so even if you purchased from a dealer, you wouldn't get any satisfaction.

Is it possible to trade in an RV for a new one?

Trading isn’t a good option either, because to make a trade, you’ll have to purchase a coach that costs more than the one you own and will have to pay additional sales tax. RV buying mistakes can be very upsetting and expensive. Sadly, these more aggressive remedies are very complicated to pursue.

What can I do if my RV won't be repaired?

Answer: The first thing you need to do is check to see if your state has any Lemon Laws for RVs. If so, a lawyer may be able to force the dealer to repair it. You should also check sites like "Pissed Off Consumer" to see if there have been other similar complaints against this dealer so that you can use them to support your situation.

If, for any reason, you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return most unused items within 60 days of receipt of merchandise for an exchange, store credit, or full refund. After 60 days, only new items in the original manufacturer's packaging and with all original contents included (e.g. tags, instruction manuals, accessories, and additional components) may be returned for store credit. If you would prefer to receive a full refund back on your original payment method (as opposed to returning for store credit or an exchange), you will still have the option to print a pre-paid label, and CampSaver will deduct $7.99 from the amount of your refund to cover the cost of return shipping.

How to be pre-authorized for a return?

In order to be pre-authorized, customers must fill out the RMA form for a pre-authorization of the return. A CampSaver Representative will contact you via phone or email within 1-3 business days to issue an RMA number and provide further return instructions, if the return is authorized. In pre-authorization cases, a pre-paid shipping label is not available through the RMA Form process, but will be emailed to you instead if the return is authorized.

How long do you have to back out of a coach?

Answer: If you have already purchased the coach, you signed a contract agreeing to pay for it. Generally, if you haven't taken delivery, you have three days to back out of the deal. However, once you drive away with it, it becomes a used vehicle, and you're stuck.

Why are RVs flawed?

This system is flawed because: Consumers don’t often understand the risks inherent in buying recreational vehicles. Sellers take advantage of buyers' lack of knowledge.

What to do if you have never taken possession of a car?

If you have never taken possession of this vehicle, there is a chance you can negotiate with the dealership to rescind your deal. If they say no, get a lawyer, asap. Whatever you do, do not take possession of that unit until you see if you can rescind your deal.

How long do you have to cancel a contract?

You normally legally have three days to cancel a contract. Do not delay, as this likely is day three and depending on the time of day you signed the papers, you may not yet have reached the three-day limit. Beyond that, the very least they should do is fix the problem as per your warranty.

Do new travel units have history?
