How do I return a broken ghd?
Please contact our Customer Care department on 086 010 9366. Our Customer Care Agent will provide you with a unique ghd reference number and take you through the return process, ensuring we have the details necessary to make your return process as fast and simple as possible.
What guarantee do you get with ghd?
2 years warranty: straighteners (including ghd platinum), curling tools, hot brushes, helios hair dryer (excluding professional use) and flight travel hair dryers. 1 year warranty on ghd air hair dryer and professional use ghd helios. 6 month warranty on ghd hair brushes.
Can I get my ghd repaired?
FixMyGhds.com can also repair any model of ghds if they have a button that slides. The Model number is shown usually on the top left hand corner of a sticker that is inside the arm. The models that cannot be repaired are Platinum, Eclipse, Hairdryers and curling tongs.
Can you return a hair straightener?

How long should a GHD last?
How long do ghds last? Most ghd straighteners come with a warranty of two or three years for peace of mind but many users claim that their styler has lasted upwards of five years. The trick is to take good care of the styler, cleaning them after use (once cooled) and storing them in a heat-resistant bag.

Why is my GHD flashing and not heating up?
Not a problem with the irons exactly, but if the irons are too cold when they are switched on you will get a continuous beep and flashing light and the irons will not heat up. GHD call this a feature and say it is to protect against damage occuring.
How do you fix a GHD straightener that won't heat up?
If your GHDs are constantly beeping and wont heat up, before you book a repair let the straighteners warm up to above 11 degrees and they should then work properly. If you are in a rush to use them then they can be placed on a radiator for a short period of time or gently heated with a hairdryer.

It's normal for the straightener to flash solid red as soon as you turn the switch on. It will then beep and start flashing as soon as it's hot and this tells you it's ready to be used.
