How far can Toja grid span?
The maximum recommended size (per TOJA GRID) is 12 feet for length or width. Since ours was 24 feet long, we knew we needed to make it a double with the extender brackets. So we ordered 2 extender pieces.
What are Toja grid brackets made of?
Our shades are made of High- Density Polyethylene, the same as heavy duty storage totes.
Is Toja grid waterproof?
The fabric is stain resistant, does not allow mold growth and is rated to block 85% of UVA and UVB. They are not waterproof, however us they do a great job of blocking the sun and keeping us covered.

Is Toja grid strong?
Starting with the build quality, the Toja Grid system is mostly good. The brackets themselves are decently heavy, rigid, and seem to provide plenty of strength for the 12 foot 4×4 beams I'm using. These aren't built to hold more than the boards and a sail themselves, however.
