Ended up deciding to start at my first sales job at a Ford/Lincoln/Nissan dealership.

Chip Shortage Getting Worse

GM and Ford both pausing some plants, including the ones that make their pickup trucks. Has to be extremely frustrating for everyone involved, including the paused workers.

I cant wrap my brain around how this dealership makes money

Bought a 2021 Highlander Hybrid yesterday. Submitted the "contact for our best price" form on their website and got back a price of 1k below MSRP. Did the credit app online, and got approved and got numbers. Agreed on it all then headed over to pickup the car.

Vroom listed my vehicle for sale on their website without fulling paying me

I recently traded in my vehicle with Vroom. I received the new vehicle and they came and picked up mine. I have positive equity and they are supposed to send me a check (several thousand dollars) within 2-3 business days of receiving the bill of landing which they received on August 23.
