Diono is committed to your child’s safety and we apologize for any inconvenience this matter may have caused. Through voluntary testing, Diono has determined that the subject products do not comply with FMVSS 213 when installed in vehicles with a lap-only belt (type 1).

These three seats have a lifespan of eight years with the harness in use, or 10-12 years without the harness. If you purchase a convertible manufactured post 2019, that is not on the list, the lifespan is ten years. The manual found with the car seat will give you the exact information.

Can you use non-Diono on a car seat?
The use of non-Diono®, covers, inserts, toys, accessories, or tightening devices is not approved by Diono® for use on Diono® car seats Their use could cause this restraint to fail Federal, or European Safety Standards or perform worse in a crash. Their use automatically voids the Diono® warranty.
Can Diono be replaced?
During the Warranty Period, Di ono® will, at its option, repair or replace this product if it is found by the manufacturer to be defective in material or workmanship. Diono reserves the right to discontinue or change parts, fabrics, models, or products, or to substitute this product with a comparable model or product.
