How did glerups start?
We hope you enjoy the “all year comfort” of your new glerups. In 1993 Nanny from Denmark felted a pair of boots for the first time, and the wool came from her own Gotland sheep. The felted boots were well received among friends and family, so well, that Nanny started a small hobby production. This paved the way for the company glerups.
Should I size up or down for Glerups?
Glerups slippers are true to size but due to the low heel cap, the slip-on model should be snug so it doesn't flap. If you are in between two sizes, we recommend going for the smaller size for the slip-on model.
How long should Glerups last?
The Glerups seem built to last. These slippers have a one-year warranty, and they come with simple care instructions to prolong the life of the wool (wool is self-cleaning, so it shouldn't get too gross over time). And these shoes are made with care.

That's partly because Glerups mold to your feet as they “age.” The interior of the shoe naturally sheds fabric until it's found the preferred shape of your arch and heel.
Can Glerups be repaired?
In our experience Haflinger, Glerups, and Wool Slippers in general are most likely to break in the front left of the toe box where the hallux ("big toe") contacts the felt. Luckily if a hole does form in the felt of your slippers it can often be repaired by flipping the slipper inside out and sewing it closed.

The material is not itchy (at all) although you would think it would be given that they are made of 100% wool, but they are actually very very soft! So all you preconceived notions of your dads old wool socks throw them out the window because these slippers are nothing like those!
Can Glerups get wet?
Please be careful – natural rubber or leather soles may be slippery on wet and icy surfaces such as tile. All our uppers are produced in 100% pure and natural wool and therefore you may experience colour difference from batch to batch.
Can you shrink Glerups?
Wool is Easy to Clean and Care For Wool retains its color and shape beautifully if cared for properly. For the love of all things holy do not heat wash or dry wool. The fibers will shrink and stick together and you'll have a tiny sweater left.
