The back of the heel should line up with the back of your foot, creating a beautiful line. If the heel sticks out beyond your foot, the size is too big. Once you've worn your heels enough, you should be able to take them off and notice an indent in the sole where your foot rests.

How many inches are pleasers?
The standard height for the majority of beginner pole dancers is probably 6-7 inches. If you want to play it safe, go for the 6 inch shoes, but be warned - you might find that after a month or so you'll wish you'd gone a little bit higher!
