Why do things go back on the shelf?

Very few things go back on the shelf these days. Because the companies have to take mother risk that the boxes have been opened, tampered with, everything is all original etc. The only way the keep these things are if they can tell 100% these items have NOT been open. If not they are returned in the back and sorted out by their department. They are stamped with stickers, returned. Along with damaged stuff with damaged stickers. These items are then bundled up together in large quantities and sold as mystery pallets at very low discounts to outside vendors (so far I know Lowe’s, Kohl’s, Kmart (if any still exist), Walmart, Target) they’re some more I’m forgetting. Anyways, it basically buying blind.. but you get some amazing good deals. Whoever buys straight from the stores of course gets the killer deals cause they must get these pallets of merchandise EXTREMELY cheap. Because the pallets where I live are treated didn’t ways here. Some vendors will keep the pallets and break them down and run like discount stores. Others will pull the pallets judging on what they see on the outside of the pallets, and big stuff can be found cause most stuff ordered online and not sold in store will be sold out too cause they have no where to keep it. We have found patio furniture, recliners, bunk beds, fireplaces, swing sets, lawn mowers etc.. most the really good stuff will be sold in pallets like that with a price tag of let’s say $350–450 based on what they see on the outside. The customer takes a gamble if he wants to buy it and if he can resale or keep the merchandise hoping what’s on the outside & inside will be way worth more than he paid for the pallet. Most the time 7/10 it is.. and the rest of the time you at least break even or come out a little ahead. We have never lost money doing this. Some people buy the crappy little $1 stuff if they have a store and can’t wait that long to get their money that’s fine. It’s all what works for that person. But this is what general happens to returns now. If you have Facebook I’m pretty sure you can pull up pallet sales, or just fool around with pallet sale and you city or another popular city around you, like pallet sales Nashville (but you city) and you will see people selling all kinds of stuff.. if not then it isn’t available in your area. But I live around Bristol, Johnson City TN and it’s extremely popular here….
