How to pick up Uhaul with phone?
- Disassemble all furniture.
- Place the heaviest or largest items on the truck first.
- Heavier items should go in the front of the truck towards the cab.
- Small moving boxes should be the last thing you load onto the rental truck.
- Make sure your couches and mattresses are arranged vertically.
- Use padding to protect items from breaking during transport.
Does Uhaul charge by day?
Rental feeThe price perday for any truck, cargo trailer, utility trailer, or car carrier is good for up to five days. After that, U-Haulwill chargeyou $40 for every additional twenty-four hours. So if your move takes six days instead of five, U-Haulwill chargeyou roughly double for that extra day.
How much does an U-Haul really cost?
The four U-Haul trailer sizes available are: 4 ft x 8 ft. 5 ft x 8 ft. 5 ft x 10 ft. 6 ft x 12 ft. The cost for their smallest cargo trailer starts at $14.95 for local moves. The largest trailer will cost you $29.95 before extra charges are added . If you need your trailer for a long-distance move, you can expect your charges to ramp up.

What happens if you don't bring U-Haul back on time?
Rather than guarantee your truck, U-Haul will give you $50 if it isn't ready or available on moving day.
Do you have to wash a U-Haul before returning?
Check under the seats to make sure you've picked up all personal items as well as taking trash items, like bottles and food items, out. If your truck is dirty upon return a cleaning fee will be tacked onto your charges.
Does U-Haul give full refunds?
We process all refunds immediately upon cancellation. Please contact your banking institution if the funds are not available within one week. Does U-Haul charge a deposit?
Paying For Your Rental The total estimated charges for your rental are due when you pick up your equipment. No deposit is required if paying by major credit card, or debit card with a major credit card logo. If paying by cash, the following is due when you pick up your equipment.

What happens if I damage the U-Haul rental equipment without purchasing the optional coverage? As soon as you return the equipment, U-Haul will charge you for the damage you caused, plus lost rental revenue while the equipment is being repaired.

If the amount you owe is more than the amount held, U-Haul will charge you the amount held, plus any additional amounts owed in a separate transaction.
How long does U-Haul take to refund?
Once your order has arrived back at our warehouse and has been verified, we will credit back the product cost (shipping will not be refunded unless a product was defective) within 2 to 5 days.
Can you pick up and drop off U-Haul at different locations?
Can I change my drop off location after I pick up the truck? Sometimes this may be an option, however there will most likely be an extra charge for doing so. To see if it is a possibility you should call customer service at 800-789-3638 or the local traffic office.
Does U-Haul refund unused miles?
Unused days or mileage are not refunded. Additional days and additional miles are charged at the pre-agreed rate on the contract. Upon check-in fuel, vehicle damage and vehicle condition will be verified. With U-Haul, you can even check the truck in yourself with your smartphone if you choose to self-return your truck.
Does U-Haul hook up the trailer for you?
(Note: U-Haul will inspect your vehicle for towing and connect the trailer for you before you hit the road, but it is always a good idea to know how to connect the trailer yourself.)
Is U-Haul automatic or manual?
All of the trucks are automatic, so no shifting or clutch. Acceleration (loaded) can be minimul, so you have to allow a lot of room. Merging into heavy traffic can be challenging. Long uphill runs (into the mountains) means you will be in the slow lane most of the time.

You pick up your equipment from a rental location near your starting point, then drop it off at a different rental location near your destination. In-Town truck, trailer and/or towing rentals are for local moves or one-time deliveries. You pick up and drop off your equipment at the same rental location.
Can you make a deposit in cash?
