Rental feeThe price perday for any truck, cargo trailer, utility trailer, or car carrier is good for up to five days. After that, U-Haulwill chargeyou $40 for every additional twenty-four hours. So if your move takes six days instead of five, U-Haulwill chargeyou roughly double for that extra day.

How much does an U-Haul really cost?

The four U-Haul trailer sizes available are: 4 ft x 8 ft. 5 ft x 8 ft. 5 ft x 10 ft. 6 ft x 12 ft. The cost for their smallest cargo trailer starts at $14.95 for local moves. The largest trailer will cost you $29.95 before extra charges are added . If you need your trailer for a long-distance move, you can expect your charges to ramp up.

What happens if you don't bring U-Haul back on time?

Rather than guarantee your truck, U-Haul will give you $50 if it isn't ready or available on moving day.

Do you have to wash a U-Haul before returning?

Check under the seats to make sure you've picked up all personal items as well as taking trash items, like bottles and food items, out. If your truck is dirty upon return a cleaning fee will be tacked onto your charges.

Does U-Haul give full refunds?

You pick up your equipment from a rental location near your starting point, then drop it off at a different rental location near your destination. In-Town truck, trailer and/or towing rentals are for local moves or one-time deliveries. You pick up and drop off your equipment at the same rental location.
