So far so OK
So I started the process in late August. Found a Jeep Wrangler rubicon I liked at a great price. Started the process but noticed, when I looked at the carfax, that the vin came back to a different jeep. Turns out they linked the wrong pictures to the jeep I was looking at a d the rubicon I thought I had a great deal was actually about 7k more.
Vroom and local TV news
Perhaps we should reach out to our local TV stations and newspapers about Vroom and offer them to be interviewed?
My Vroom selling experience
I had been getting Vroom quotes on my Focus ST for several months. The offers were always far better than Carmax and Carvana, and new offers almost always increased over prior weeks' offers, even after the wholesale market softened in August. I had a subscription to a Black Book real-time valuation service (updated values daily).
Vroom experience review
On August 17th I started looking for a new to me vehicle. Our local market is trash, with all SUVs nearing 100,000 miles and asking 30k+. It’s a terrible time to try and buy a car, but as a parent of two and a spouse who works long hours we needed something more reliable and our Jeep died. Again.
Out experience so far
We started the process of selling our current 2015 Subaru Legacy premium (80,500 miles) for a 2018 Subaru legacy limited (23, 000 miles) on 9/1, had contracts by the 3rd and finished the process by the 8th. Email with delivery date provided by the 9th with estimated delivery by the 20th.
A positive review
Well the truck was delivered this evening, it’s just as they described, just little dusty and it needed gas, but this part of the process is done!! The temp tags are good til 10/29, so now to wait on the paperwork so I can transfer my tags from my trade in, It all started on 8/18 with the purchase completed on 8/28 and delivered 9/12, it came from MI to NC, I would say the process went well, first time buying online, just the waiting was the worst part!! Now to see when they will pick up my trade, which it’s already has a order for pickup.
Vroom vs Carvana
Last year I purchased a Land Cruiser on Carvana. Our intention wasn't to buy with Carvana, but it's a vehicle that doesn't hit the market with as much frequency as most. There was one listed at the time, and was "on hold," but there was a running clock counting down from 20 minutes or so.
My Vroom buying experience (final)
So we decided to sell our old "cottage car" and buy a small fun car. Pickings were poor at dealers (we are in Maine) so online seemed an option. I had heard one bad story about Vroom (the TFL "We lost the check" one), so I was a bit worried going in.
Vroom is the worst
Worst company, worst consumer experience, worst customer service, just all around a joke of a company. Dont waste your time.
Mostly Positive Selling Review
My advice if you’re selling to Vroom- do not do so if you’re in a hurry to sell and get the money. The process took 2 weeks from accepting the offer to receiving the check but I called them almost everyday to keep the ball rolling. Each time after calling I received the emails I was waiting on shortly after.
My experience so far and maybe need some reassurance?
So I signed my DocuSign paperwork (contract) on my 2019 Honda Civic Si yesterday (July 27th), waiting on the physical copy from fedex that was supposed to be shipped out today.
My experience- mixed - not recommend
The good: *The new car is great! The price is competitive than Carvana, CarMax or local dealers *Ships fast! This creates problems see the bad *rental car when my car registration is taking long *trade in no questions
