How do I exchange my Chacos?
Please return item(s) in the original packaging. Returns will be refunded to the original card used to purchase the item(s). Please note: A return shipping charge of $5.00 will be deducted from your refund. MyChacos custom sandals and accessories are not eligible for return/exchange.
Why do my Chacos give me blisters?
Like most footwear, Chaco sandals require a break-in period. Generally, blisters forming on the bottom of the foot indicate the need for a longer break-in period. To prevent blisters, we suggest slowly breaking in new sandals over a week or two. A good rule of thumb is to start wearing new sandals 3 to 4 hours per day.
Can you trade in Chacos?
Participating Chaco retailers are offering a 20% discount on all like types of footwear traded in: Flips for flips, sandals for sandals, boots for boots. Any manufacturer's product will be accepted.
How long does it take to exchange Chacos?
Please allow two weeks for your return to be processed. You will receive an email to confirm a successful return. A credit should appear on your credit card, or original method of payment, within two billing cycles.
Do Chacos mold to your feet?
So definitely buy the Z/Cloud sandals for the most comfortable Chacos. You may have seen some people online recommending that you put your Chacos in the oven on a low temperature for a few minutes to soften up the footbed so that it molds better to your feet.
Should Chacos be tight or loose?
We recommend that your Chacos are snug enough and that you always allow enough room to get your finger underneath the piece of webbing. For the sandal with the toe loop, you want to make sure that you don't overtighten that toe loop.
Can you return worn Chacos?
Chacos accepts returns of damaged and defective products—any product with an imperfection that is a design or manufacturing flaw is considered defective. Items not considered defective are those that: Have worn stitching, worn soles, or frayed webbing due to regular wear.
What do I do with my old Chacos?
Chaco makes the process easy: You simply send your old sandals to the ReChaco facility in Rockford, Michigan, where restoration specialists can replace the shoe's webbing, attach a new outsole, replace buckles and make other repairs.

Can I return shoes after wearing them for a day?
You can only return them for refund or exchange if they are unworn, in the original product packaging, and you have the receipt or invoice. While they say you can return items for any reason for up to 60 days, they can't appear to have been worn.
Can you return shoes bought online in-store?
Fortunately, many retailers allow you to buy online and return in-store, although there are some caveats. Before venturing out to a store, read their return policy to see if you can return online orders in person and what kinds of requirements you'll have to meet.

Are Chacos better with or without the toe strap?
The toe loops are worth it but take some getting used to! They are definitely more comfortable if you are going to be doing a lot of hiking/backpacking in your sandals. On steep inclines, I really notice the difference in how much less my foot slides around and how much more secure/stable my footing feels.
